Our launch night was a great success, with a completely full venue we took over Rhyme X Reason Malt room and created an interactive art section with the theme of 'Challenging Mental Health Stigma', giving people the opportunity to showcase their different perspectives and experiences through art.

In collaboration with Creative Juices and Ahua Psychology, we hosted an open mic night which people created songs, spoken word and poems showing vulnerability in front of the crowd. A very powerful night with Taylor Rapley from Ahua Psychology speaking on how to look after your mates when your think they may be dealing with mental health issues.

SMILES program (Social Matches Igniting Laughter, Exercise and Support): A fortnightly, very social, semi-competitive sports league which people would show up and get put into a random team with the sports changing each week. Our most successful event, providing a supportive and welcoming environment that aimed to enhance both physical and mental well-being with the opportunity to connect with others in the community.

“The Alleycat Foot Races are a spin off of bike messenger Alley Cats. It is essentially an unsanctioned race to a series of checkpoints with no route, racers choose which way they think is quickest and then have to navigate to all of them whilst running as fast as they can. It’s just a load of chaos. Check out MonsterTrack if you’ve never heard of it before.” A collaborative night with Heatwave, General Service and Alleyway.
